THESE WORKOUTS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ANY PLAYERS THAT WISH TO PLAY ON A SHARKS TEAM FOR THE 2024 SEASON!

Players must attend the scheduled workouts based on their league age (age on 4/30/2024)

Tentative Winter Workout Dates:

7U-10U Players (age on 4/30/2024):  

7/8U- Beginning on Saturday January 6 2:30pm-4pm at Action Baseball (6 sessions)

9U- Beginning on Saturday January 6 4:30pm-6pm at NHP Memorial HS (6 sessions)

9U- Beginning on Thursday, January 11 6pm-7pm at Complete Sports Performance (6 sessions)

10U- Beginning on Saturday, January 6 6pm-7:30pm at NHP Memorial HS (6 sessions)

10U- Beginning on Monday, January 8 6pm-7pm at Complete Sports Performance (6 sessions)

Arrival time: all players should arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time to sign in and get assigned a number, you will need to bring that number with you for each of the 6 weeks.

Age is determined by your child's age as of 4/30/2024

IN MID-FEBRUARY, PLAYERS WILL BE ASSIGNED TO TEAMS, AND YOU WILL CONTINUE WORKOUTS THROUGH MARCH WITH YOUR ASSIGNED TEAM (7-10 PLAYERS ONLY).

All current Sharks players and prospective new players are expected to attend our winter workouts.

Run by legendary coach Larry Minor (Current head coach of Nassau Community College)

First session - Total of 4 sessions beginning on Monday 11/27 and continuing for next 3 Mondays

Times will be 6-7pm, 7-8pm or 8-9pm (players will be scheduled based on grade)

Cost: only $150 for 4 sessions

Venue is a NHP indoor facility.

Total of 4 sessions beginning on Monday 11/27 and continuing for next 3 Mondays

Times will be 5-6pm

Cost: only $150 for all 4 sessions

Sharks Baseball Pitching Academy

Run by Julien Arcos (Assistant Pitching Coach for Queens College)

Available for all players 8-12U

Total of 8 sessions all Wednesdays: Starts January 3 and runs for 8 weeks.

Times will be 6-7pm, 7-8pm (players will be scheduled based on grade)

Cost: $300 per player - 8 1 hour sessions

Venue is a Mineola indoor facility.

After crushing the LI Titans in the semi-final game 18-1, the Sharks battled the Bayside Yankees in the Championship and came away with 2-1 victory.

Both teams were strong on the hill Saturday, but 9U Sharks Baseball Academy defeated Bayside Yankees Select 9U 2-1. Christian C allowed just three hits to Bayside Yankees Select 9U.

Christian went six innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven.

Anthony A went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead 9U Sharks Baseball Academy in hits.

Congrats to our 9U team with impressive tournament, 5-0 record, outscored opponents 67-17, pounded out 64 hits including 9 triples and 4 HR's.

Pitchers held opponents to only .180 against them.

Sharks Baseball Academy Varsity had all cylinders firing on offense on Saturday, winning big over East End Aviators 9-1

In the first inning, Sharks Baseball Academy Varsity got their offense started when Ryan Kunak singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Sharks Baseball Academy Varsity scored four runs in the fourth inning.  Sharks Baseball Academy Varsity scored its runs on a grand slam by Christian Toledo.

Nathaniel Yee was credited with the victory for Sharks Baseball Academy Varsity. Yee allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out one and walking one.

Sharks Baseball Academy Varsity smacked one home run on the day. Toledo had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

Sean Evangelista led Sharks Baseball Academy Varsity with two hits in three at bats.

A walk-off double propelled 11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue to a decisive, dramatic victory over Midville Baseball, 9-8.  The game was tied at eight with 11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue batting in the bottom of the sixth when Aayan S doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue earned the victory despite allowing Midville Baseball to score five runs in the fourth inning.  Midville Baseball scored its runs on a grand slam by Player.

Derek S got the start for 11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue. The pitcher lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and seven runs while striking out one.

11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue tallied one home run on the day. Myles N went for the long ball in the fifth inning.

11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue scattered ten hits in the game.  Nicky V, Andrew L, and Myles each managed multiple hits for 11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue.  Myles, Andrew, and Nicky each collected two hits to lead 11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue.  11U Sharks Baseball Academy Blue tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. PJ M led the way with three.

The 9u Blue Sharks Baseball Academy defeated Team Francisco black 10-6 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game.  SBA was down 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Joseph C doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

SBA collected nine hits.  SBA pulled away for good with ten runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Matthew F tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, Logan F drew a walk, scoring one run, Liam O singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs for SBA, and Ayush D grounded out, scoring one run.

Joseph earned the win for SBA. Joseph surrendered three runs on four hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four.  Nichols M threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Liam C and Joseph each had multiple hits for SBA.  Joseph and Liam each managed two hits to lead SBA.  SBA was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Logan made the most plays with  seven.
